More About CDV™

Volunteers are the heart and soul of an organization. To maintain a successful volunteer program, it is paramount for healthcare organizations to bring meaningful educational opportunities to their volunteers. A quality Memory Care Program thrives when its volunteers are well prepared and educated with information and tools to provide the best quality service possible.

The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners has had many volunteers complete the Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar(s) even though they were not eligible to become certified as a Certified Dementia Practitioner. The NCCDP now offers a distinct certification for this incredibly special group of people: Certified Dementia Volunteer (CDV). Now, upon completion of the NCCDP seminar, volunteers can become recognized as certified individuals providing services to those with cognitive decline that they have been working with for years.

Show your volunteers just how valuable and important they are for the delivery of services in Memory Care! Register your volunteers for one of our seminars or host the NCCDP Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar for your staff and volunteers.
